Little Flower College Guruvayoor is proud to have an active old student association (OSA) we have many OSA members who brought the fame and name of the college to great height OSA members are working in elevated position across the nation and overseas
Each year the students who are passing out from this institution give us back a solid promise,apromise of keeping themselves as blooming little flower which never fades .we value the strong relationship between our OSA members and the college.
The first gathering of Alumnae members for the year 2014-2015 was held on 6th September 2014 at the seminar hall. The meeting started with prayer by Ms. Anseena, OSA member from department of Malayalam. Ms.Amritha P R, OSA member from department of Botany welcomed the gathering. Our respected principal Rev. Dr. sr. Teesa Domnic officially inaugurated the gathering she underlined the significance of active participation of OSA members during the year of NAAC visit and diamond jubilee celebrations. Her inspiriting words rejuvenated the gathering. She wished all members a happy and prosperous onam. Smt. Jilna Alex N, Secretary presented the report of the previous year.
The special invitee for the day was Smt. Sobhana Kumarai,Sub editor,Green books. She remembered the joyful days she had spent as a student of our collage. She particularly emphasized the role of our institution in building her up as a confident and punctual person. She appreciated the institution for molding the students inculcatingsocial values along with excellent academic performance Smt. Shaiji C. Murigathery, president of OSA and Smt. Sithara K Urumbil Vice president of OSA oriented the members to prepare for the NAAC visit and diamond jubilee celebrations. Discussion were held regarding the fund generation and other extension activities of the association. The major suggestions put forwarded include:-
1) Encourage more students to join as active members
2) Select two members from each departments to co-ordinate the diamond jubilee celebrations.
3) Advertise facebook account and website address through media in order to encourage more students participation.
4) Contact members personally to discuss the NACC visit.
5) Selected October second Saturday for diamond jubilee celebration.
After the discussion all enjoyed on ‘onapaattu’ by Ms. Athira, OSA member from department of Chemistry. The session was cocluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Anitha S . Cheeran, OSA member from department of English.
