Malayalam Research Centre

Malayalam Research centre of Little Flower College Guruvayoor, under   the University of Calicut started in 2019 by the recognition of University Order No. 513/2019/admin dated 14.01.2019. Through this research centre the Management of this college aimed to promote the research activities of Malayalam research Scholars under university of Calicut. Malayalam department is proud of being the first research centre of the College, with four research guides. The management of this college took initiative to start the research centre with all the infrastructure facilities to promote a research culture in the campus. We introduced a research forum for the smooth running of the research activities of the Department.

Research Policy of the Department of Malayalam

The research policy of the College aims at promoting research aptitude among faculty according to the vision and mission of our college for the future development of the Institution. To promote the research policy of the College, Research department of Malayalam giving chances for the systematic and scientific research in Malayalam. Identifying modern trends of research methodology, choosing relevant significance in academic and socially challenged areas of research, make the scholars capable of preparing scientific thesis. The department provides a platform for the research scholars to facilitate the new horizons of research in Malayalam language and Literature through research oriented discussions, Seminars, workshops, Paper presentations and published works, so that they can produce fruitful Ph. D Thesis. It also aims at ensuring the research activities of the college should be applicable according to the rules and regulations of University of Calicut and to the U. G. C. established standards and norms relating to the ethical conduct of research.

Research forum aims at:

·  The Screening of the research scholars along with their qualifications, eligibility certificates, synopsis etc. through interview.

·         The Conduct of RAC on time for the smooth running of the Ph. D course.

·        The proper guidance to find out the research problems through open discussions, promoting their research according to the rules and regulations of the UGC and University, so that they are able to understand the new trends and areas of research in Malayalam language and literature.Issuing all the available infra structure facilities of the college, such as class room, separate table & chair, Internet accessibility, Library facilities etc.

·    Conducting annual National / International seminars / workshops / conferences for the enrichment of the research scholars.

·  Promoting the scholars to participate and present papers in various National / International seminars / workshops /conferences & journals.

·    Undertaking the periodic evaluation and progress of research activities of the research scholars.

·      Conducting course work strictly as per the rules and regulations of the university and conduct classes of expertise periodically.

·      Helping them to recognise intellectual property rights, patents, funding agencies and various scholarships provided by various bodies for research.

·     Promoting research scholars to present their research papers in the monthly conferences of the department, so that they can cherish their subject knowledge and be capable of facing public audience effectively.

· Collaborations with various esteemed institutions like Arnosospathiri Academy Velur, Vallathol Vidya peedam Edappal, Rashtra Deepika Ltd. Kottayam & O V Vijayan Smarakam Thasrak in order to help research scholars in their research oriented works by collecting MOUs.
