On 27th December 2020, an aptitude test was conducted by the department of commerce in association with TIME institute, thrissur.
On 9th July 2021, a webinar was organised by
TIME, Thrissur in association with
Department of commerce, Little Flower College Guruvayoor on the topic "
Career Choices and Planning during Recession" exclusively for the commerce
students. The Centre Director Diju Jose explained the various aspects of the
topic and all students made the webinar a success
On 1st August 2021, AVODHA E-LEARNING has
presented a live webinar on the topic “Importance of soft skills in personal
and professional life job opportunities in the current market scenario” at
2 pm via google meet. Final year BCom , First Year BCom and First year MCom
Batch students participated in the webinar.
To celebrate 75th Independence Day our Department organized Poster
Making Competition @3:00 to 4:00pm and many students participated, our topic
was ‘NATION FIRST, ALWAYS FIRST’
On Feb20 2024, Mr. Pramod & Deepthi Excellence group , Thrissur organised a personality development class for Degree students .
On 13th
November 2021 , a webinar was organized by Presidency University
Benguluru in collaboration with Commerce department of Little Flower College on
the topic "Intellectual Property Rights".The webinar was carried on
through google meet at 4pm. The main session was was handled by Ms.Aparna
Shukla, Assistant Professor at School of Business Law, Presidency University,
Benguluru. The Webinar was very informative. At the end, Veena Veeramani of
Third year B.Com delivered vote of thanks .
As part of INTER- DEPARTMENTAL FACULTY PAPER PRESENTATION on 10/12/2019, department faculty member, Sneha P M presented a paper on the topic "Goods and Service Tax"(GST)
The association activity of Department of Commerce was conducted on 3rd October 2019. The day was inaugurated by Mr. Dr. Biju M John ( Associate Professor) of St.Thomas College, Thrissur.
On 22nd July 2019, our department conducted an Inter Collegiate one day seminar on the topic ‘GST LAWS AND RULES’ hosted by Dr. Joya A S (Faculty of GST CENTRE).

An Industrial Visit to KITEX AND ANNA ALUMINIUM on 19 th July 2019 with 2nd DC students.
On 26 & 27 September 2019, our students visited Orumanayoor Primary Health centre as a part of Swatchatha mission, they cleaned the surroundings, distributed handmade cloth bags and paper bags and created an awareness regarding waste management.
First year degree students of our department visited an old age home in Mammiyoor as a part of their curriculum on 30th September2019.
Our II M.com students had a one day study tour on 12/10/2019 to Wagamon.
Our 3rd DC students had a five day study tour from 24th October to 29th October to Coorg and Chigmangalore.
On 10th August 2020, a poster making competition was conducted by the Department of Commerce in connection with Independence Day . The programme was held from 10th August to 14th August and the theme given for the competition was “INDIA – 2020”.

participated in the webinar and found it really informative.
To
commemorate National Reading Day
on 19th June 2021, Commerce Department of Little Flower College conducted a department level
Reading Competition. The competition was carried out online through google meet from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. Nineteen
participants took part in the competition. Each of them was given five minutes and were allowed to read any book
of their choice.
The first place was won
by Thasni of third year B.Com. The second place was shared by Anjali P of first
year M.Com and Neha T P of first year B.Com, Nehla of first year M.Com won the
third place.
An Interdepartmental Debate
competition was organized
by the Department of Commerce on 23rd June
2021, from
4pm to 6 pm through online platform. There were 6 teams, 1 team from History Department and the remaining 5
teams from Commerce Department. Each team had 5 members. The winners were
decided and declared by the respected Judge, Jayashankar J. He is a certified Corporate trainer,
Accredited management and teacher trainer, and he was a former Professor of
Amrita School of Arts and
Sciences, Kochi.
On 5th July 2021, A Live webinar on STOCK
MARKET was conducted by LITTLE FLOWER COLLEGE, GURUVAYOOR in association
with SHINE PROJECTS at 2 pm via online platform. Participants were First year
BCOM and MCOM students and Final Year BCOM students and they were issued with
e-certificates
On Aug 08 2023 JeenaPaul & Cini Rajesh, CMA cordinators of Rise Institute, Thrissur, organised a workshop for Degree and post Graduate students to emphasise the importance of CMA programme. They engaged the students in an interactive session where he elucidated various aspects of the CMA programme.
On 27th September 2022 we the Department of Commerce conducted Association Inauguration with the special Chief Guest Mr. Jayashankar J, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Deputy Scholarship Officer Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai. The event started with a prayer followed by the Chief Guest's talk. Later on a competition called Product Launch was also conducted.
Our

OnNov 30 2023 Ajeesh. V. R, ACCA cordinator of ISDC Cochin, organised a workshop for Degree and post Graduate students to emphasise the importance of ACCAprogramme. He engaged the students in an interactive session where he elucidated various aspects of the ACCA programme.

Our Department of Commerce
has conducted a webinar "The Art of Accounting - To the future" with
Accountants Academy on Wednesday 18th August 2021 at 2pm for our students.

HR Manager of Accountants Academy explained various aspects of the topic.
Our Commerce department conducted a Workshop on
Preparation of Project Report for B.com and M.com final year Students. The
workshop was carried out online through Google meet on 22nd
September 2021 from 6: 30 PM to 8 P M. The resource person for the day was
Dr.G.S Sandhya Nair,
Head of the Department of Commerce, Sree Vivekananda College, Kunnamkulam. The
programme was hosted by Athira Raj of Third year B.com. Welcome speech was
delivered by Ms Athira G Kumar, Head of the Department. The workshop was very
informative.

empowerment “. The works were collected
through e-mails.

Programme was Conducted by Thrissur Chapter in
association with Little Flower College,
Guruvayoor at 2 pm. The programme was
started with
a welcome speech by Ms. Athira G Kumar, Head of
the Department of Commerce. The Guest speaker was CMA Praveen Kumar, Chairman, Thrissur Chapter.
On 22nd
December 2021, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Guruvayoor in collaboration
with Little Flower College, Guruvayoor conducted a Job orientation programme at
2.30 pm. The Guest Speaker was
Ajay Kumar K, Associate Regional Manager of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance
Company Limited.
A Poster making competition was conducted by the
Department of Commerce in connection with International Mother Language Day on
21st March 2022 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Theme given for the
competition was ‘Languages without borders’ and venue for the competition was
Commerce Department. A total of 9 participants took part in the competition
which included 5 participants from BCA Department, 2 participants from BSC
Computer Science Department and the remaining from our Commerce Department.
The winners are: First place goes to Hiba Abdul Jaleel
of 2nd Year BCom, Second place goes to Sneha M of 2nd
Year Computer Science and third place by Iffah Parveen Akbar.
On 12th July 2022, a seminar was organised by PROFINZ CMA CAMPUS , THRISSUR in association with Department of Commerce on the Topic " Career Guidance " for second year and Third year students.

In connection with Commerce Day, we the Department Of Commerce has conducted a Logo Identification Quiz and Best Trader Competition on 1st august 2022 at 1PM in Commerce Department.
On 20 August 2022, Department of Commerce had organized an industrial visit to KINFRA Integrated Industrial & Textile Park for 95 students of Second Year B.Com & Third Year B.Com with 4 faculties.
On behalf of 75th Independence Day ( Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav), we the department of Commerce of Little Flower College, Guruvayur has conducted an essay writing competition on 11th August 2022. The Topic was " How Freedom has changed our Industrial sector and it's impact on our economy ".
In association with Rise Institute, Thrissur We the Department of Commerce of Little flower College , Guruvayur Organized a Career Orientation Programme for Final Year BCom and Second Year BCom students on 8th November 2022. The Resource person was Sreejith KC , who has over 15 years of teaching and guiding experience, also an aptitude trainer and counsellor for CAT/MAT/CMAT/KMAT exams, CRT programmes, IBPS PO and clerical and SSC exams.
In connection with World International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, We the Department of Commerce has conducted an Essay Writing Event on 25th November 2022 at 2pm. Several participants from different departments contributed their essays on the Topic “ If all men are born free, how is it that all women are born slaves”.
In connection with Entrepreneurship week, we the Department of Commerce in collaboration with IIC has conducted an Exhibition cum Sale on 28th and 29th November 2022. Our students had exhibited certain Baking items like Cakes, puddings and certain craft items like Tote bags, dream catchers etc. Students felt it so good that they could exhibit their talents and make earnings out of it. There were 7 participants and items were exhibited in ASSISI block.
In connection with Chartered Accountants Day , We the Department Of Commerce had conducted a seminar on 30th June 2023 at 12.45 p.m for UG Students,on the topic “WHY CA AFTER B.COM”. The Guest Speaker was C A Sreehari Meledom. The session explained about various career opportunities of CA. Students found it so informative.
On 29th July, 2023 Department Of Commerce had organized an industrial visit to Skyfoam
Periyar polymers private limited for 57 students of 2nd year B.Com with 3 faculties .
