IT quiz competition 2024
In connection with world computer day department of computer application conducted an interdepartmental IT quiz competition on February 15th 2024.Many students from various departments actively participated in this competition.Ms.Gopika Nair(BA Eng) and Nandana P.S(BCA) won the first and second prize respectively.

IT Exhibition 2023
In commemoration of World Computer
Literacy Day, the Department of Computer Science and Applications organized a
remarkable Computer Exhibition at the college portico on December 1, 2023. The
principal Dr.Sr.Valsa M.A inaugurated the exhibition. The event aimed to foster
awareness and understanding of the latest developments in computer technology
among students and the wider college community.
PPT presentation competition
On
the occasion of World Computer Literacy Day 2023, a PPT Presentation
Competition was organized for Higher Secondary Students on December 1, 2023, to
explore the "Role of AI in Day-to-Day Life."
Workshop for Asha workers
The Department of Computer Science & Applications organized a
workshop on Microsoft Excel for ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist)
workers in connection with World Computer Literacy Day Login 2023 on November
30, 2023. The workshop aimed to enhance the digital skills of ASHA workers,
empowering them with knowledge to effectively use MS Excel for their
administrative and reporting tasks. Ms. Lisna Thomas, Assistant Professor on
Contract in the Department of Computer Applications, served as the resource
person for the workshop.
Association inaugration SACA 2023
Department of Computer Application association SACA inauguration was
held on 26th October 2023 at
10.30 am in Seminar Hall. The inauguration started with prayer song. Ms.Juhaina
P.K (Association
secretary) delivered welcome speech. Our principal Dr.Sr.Valsa M.A gave
presidential address.Ms.Rasmi M,Assistant Professor St.Mary’s
College,Trichur was the chief guest of this program.The inauguration ceremony enriched
with her talk “Empowering education with Artificial Inteligence”.
Industrial visit 2023
As the part of course curriculum our 3rd BCA students went to
Kaynes Technology India Ltd Mysore for industrial visit on 21st
September 2023.33 students and 2 staffs were visited the industry. Students
were aware about microprocessor mechanisms and IoT technology.
Doodle art competition 2023
In connection with "Independence Day" Department of Computer
Application conducted a Doodle art competition on 17th August 2023.The theme of
the competition was " Gandhi"Alagra Sivan P (I BCA) and Ms.Devapriya (I BCA) won
the first and second prize respectively.
State level seminar June 2023
On
27th June 2023, Department
of Computer Science and Application, Little Flower College successfully organized a one-day state-level
seminar on Machine Learning at 10 am to 3.30pm in college auditorium. The
seminar aimed to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, skill development,
and networking opportunities in the field of Machine Learning. The event
featured Dr. Jisha Jose Panakal, Assistant Professor & Research Guide from
the Department of Computer Science, SH College, Chalakkudy, as the esteemed
Resource Person.
Pencil drawing competition
The activities of Department of Computer Application association (SACA) of
the academic year 2023-2024 started with a pencil drawing competition in
connection with "World blood donor day" on 14th June 2023.13 students from various departments actively participated in the
competition. Ms Lima Krishna A.M( I st B.Sc Botany) and Ms .Amegha Krishna V.V(III
BA FE)won the first and second prize respectively.

In connection with "World Computer Day"

In connection with "National Girl Child Day"
Department of Computer Application conducted an essay writing interdepartmental
competition on 24th January 2023.The topic of the essay writing
competition was " Education of a Girl Child is a burden".Among 5 participants
Ms.Aiswarya P(I BCA) and Shima(II BA English) won the first and second prize
respectively.

“Transforming literacy learning spaces”.5 students from our department

As a part of College Induction Program for first
years, Department of Computer Application organized a department based
induction program on 31st August 2022. All the first year students from
BCA departments actively participated in the program.

competition on 28th July 2022.The theme of the drawing competition was "
Save nature Save life".Among 5 participants Ms.Anusree Jayasankar(2nd
B.Sc Zoology) and Ms.Flavia Varghese(3rd BCA) won the first and second prize
respectively.
Reading Competition in connection with "National reading day" on 19th June 2022
The
activities of Department of Computer Application association of the academic
year 2022-2023 started with Reading Competition in connection with "National reading
day" on 19th June 2022.Around 10 students participated in this competition
based on book reading. Ms. Neha Nasrin P (III BCA) and Ms. Vismaya Dinesh Kumar((
II BCA) won the first and second prize respectively.

In
connection with World Computer Literacy Day, Department of Computer Science
& Application organized one-week celebration for computer literacy
awareness. The celebration enriched with Jumbled words competition, Association
inauguration and Seminar on Block chain, Career oriented webinar, PPT design competition,
LOGO making competition, Spot Digital poster making competition. The students
from our college actively participated in each event.

As
the part of World Computer Literacy Day on 1st December 2022,
Department of Computer Science and Applications organized a interdepartmental
jumbled word competition. In the jumbled word competition students are given
different jumbled words related to computer term. Students were interested to
find the correct word. Twenty-Nine students from various departments were actively
participated in this Competition. Among them Devika S (II BSc CS) secured first
position, Avanthika P S (II BSc CS) secured second and Nima E J(II BSc CS )
secured third Place respectively.
Department of Computer Science and Application association inauguration 2nd Dec 2022
Department of Computer Science and Application association STACS inauguration
was held on 2nd December 2022 at 11 am in auditorium. The
inauguration started with prayer song. Ms.Aswathi Preman(Association secretary, Computer Science)

J Kizhakkethottam,Professor Saintgits College
of Engineering, Kottayam was the chief guest of this program. He inaugurated
our association. The inauguration ceremony enriched with the seminar “Block chain”.
The seminar session was handled by our chief guest. By this session students
aware about Block chain technology-which is the basis for the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, but which can be used for much more-enables digital transactions
without the use of intermediaries, which are much faster and also more secure
than as previously been possible. He also discussed various opportunities in
Computer Science and motivated students. A memento delivered to chief guest by
our principal. MS. Neha Nasrin(Joint Secretary, CA) delivered vote of thanks.
The program ended with National Anthem.

on 5th December 2022, Department of Computer Science
& Applications conducted a PPT design competition based on the
topic”History of football FIFA world cup” 10 students from our department actively
participated in the competition. Ms.Nandana Sasikumar(1st B.Sc
Computer Science)won the first prize.

The activities of Department of Computer
Application association of the academic year 2021-2022 started with Poster
making Competition in connection with
"World blood donor day" on 14th June 2021.Around 10 students
participated in this competition based on the theme "Donate blood save
life".Ms. Rithu Sree (2nd sem BCA) and Ms.Snija Sujay(2nd Sem M.Sc
Zoology) won the first and second prize respectively.
National Reading Day
In connection with National Reading Day, Department of Computer
Application conducted a “Reading competition” on 19th June 2021 at 2.30
pm. Around 10 students from BCA department were participated in the reading
competition through Google Meet and other students from department boosted them
with encouraging words.Besides this competition we conducted a story writing
based on given pictures and Speech competition based on the topic "Online
education and reading habits".
Nature Conservation Day-Drawing competition
In connection with "Nature conservation
Day" department of computer application conducted a drawing competition on
28th July 2021.The theme of the drawing competition was " Save nature Save
future".Among 15 participants Ms.Radhika P Gopinath(5th sem B.Com) and
Ms.Flavia Varghese(2nd sem BCA) won the first and second prize respectively.
International Youth Day -Photography contest
In connection with
"International youth day" Department of computer application
conducted a photography contest on 12th August 2021.The theme of the
photography contest was "Lockdown Life".Among the 10 contestent
Ms.Aishwarya C.R (5th sem BCA) and Ms.Shabnam V.H(5th sem BCA) won the first
and second prize respectively.

In connection with 75th Independence Day celebration, Department of Computer Application
conducted three programs on 15th August 2021.All our department students actively involved in three
programs. We organized these program in online platform. The programs as

Department of computer application celebrated Onam
2021 with different programs. Our 2nd year students organized different
programs related to Onam festival. It was enriched with Onam songs, dance and competitions.
The competition includes Malayali Manka and pookalam design.We conducted this
festival celebration through Google meet.
National education day celebration-2021
In connection with National Education Day, Department of Computer
Application prepared a “Awareness video” on 11th November 2021.
Around 10 students from BCA department were participated in this awareness
video.
World computer literacy week celebration-2021
In connection with World Computer Literacy week,
Department of Computer Science & Application organized one-week celebration
for computer literacy awareness. The celebration enriched with speech
competition, Ewaste collection campaign Flag off in collaboration with Clean
Kerala Company Ltd, Government of Kerala, Workshop for teachers, Workshop for
students and webinar. All the students and staffs from our college actively
participated in each event. Speech competition theme was “Pros and Cons of
Ewaste management”. Among 6 active participants Vismaya Dinesh Kumar (I
BCA),Sajitha T.S(I B.Sc C.S)Anjana K.L(I BCA) secured first,second and third
place respectively.
Webinar-“Future of Telecommunication Technology with 5G”-2021
Department of Computer Application organized a webinar on 04th December 2021 by
Mr.Salil Gopal ,MS Telecommunications,RMIT Melbourne. The webinar was based on
“Future of Telecommunication Technology with 5G”. All students from our college
and outside colleges actively participated in the webinar
WEBINAR ON “WEB HOSTING”
In connection with computer Literacy week, Department of Computer Application organized an intercollegiate webinar on “Web Hosting” by Mr.Benson K.P, Senior Software Engineer, Excytech Limited, UK on 16th December 2020. Around 200 students from various colleges were participated in the webinar through Google Meet and YouTube live platforms and e-certificates were issued for all the participants.

WEBINAR ON “HIGHER EDUCATION & CAREER PROPECTS IN INDIA & ABROAD AFTER GRADUATION”
The activities of Department of Computer Application association of the academic year 2020-2021 started with the national level webinar on 22/07/2020 and 24/07/2020 by Mr.Jomy P.L, Career Expert, Author and speaker. The webinar was based on “Higher Education and Career prospects in India and Abroad after graduation”. 650 students from various colleges participated in the webinar through Google Meet platform. Both the sessions are lead by Mr. JOMY P L, Career Expert, Author & Speaker.

SWACHHTA PAKHWADA
The department of computer science and application organized an awareness campaign on water conservation as part of Swachhta Pakhwada on 27/01/2020 and 28/01/2020.The program includes water conservation survey, conservation awareness rally, and water conservation display message dance and distributed the leaflet which realize the importance of water.
PLASTIC WASTE AWARENESS AND MANAGEMENT
In connection with Swachhta hi Sewa project 2019 based on the theme ‘plastic waste awareness
and management’, we conducted E-waste awareness
campaign for families in the regional area also collected electronic swate from
students, staff, nearby schools and from adopted villages. III rd BCA students gave awareness for the students of different
department in our college regarding E-waste management. Students collected
plastic waste from the area nearby our department. Students are divided
into several groups and each group members were allocated with a particular
area for cleaning. They collected
the materials like plastic pen, covers, wires, bags, candy wrappers, bottle,
glass, chapels, and Tiffin boxes. They collected plastic waste from the
roadside nearby our college campus. They used gloves for collecting the
materials like plastic pen, covers, wires, bags, candy wrappers, bottle, glass
and chapels. After the collection of these materials they disposed in to the
container. There were more than twenty six students participated in this
service.
OLD AGE HOME VISIT
The department of BCA in collaboration with Computer Science department visited old age home at chowanoor on 28/08/19.
LOGO MAKING COMPETITION
BCA department conducted a logo making competition in connection with International youth day on 13th August 2019.
E-POSTER MAKING COMPETITION
BCA department conducted an E-poster making competition on the topic “Nature conservation” in connection with Nature conservation day on 30th July 2019.
ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION 2019-20
The activities of BCA association of the academic year 2019-20 started with the inauguration on 31/08/2019 by Ms.Diji Davis, Project Engineer, Wipro technologies,Kochi. The inauguration was followed by a talk on “IT industry experiences”.
