The Department of History has conducted a speech competition on 'Better Environment, Better Tomorrow' concerning World Environment Day on 11th June 2024. Ten students participated in the competition.
The Department of History & Political Science jointly organized a quiz competition as a part of the observation of Independence Day. The quiz competition was conducted on 14th August 2024. The quiz competition was conducted on the theme 'Indian National Movement'
In connection with the observation of Hiroshima Day, the Department of History organized a poster-making competition on the theme 'Peace Not War' on 09/08/2024. Students submitted posters on the themes depicting the destructive wars and the necessity of maintaining peace.
As a part of the observation of Reading Day, a discussion was conducted on the topic 'Relevance of Reading in the Era of Social Media' on 20/06/2024. Students actively participated and shared their views and concerns. it gave an awareness for the students about the importance of reading in their academic life.
As part
of National Women’s Day celebrations, the Department of History debated "Gender Justice: Is It A Dream or Reality in Kerala Context" on 7th March 2024.

Department of History, Political Science & IQAC in association with the Institute of Parliamentary Affairs organized a one-day national seminar ‘
Democracy and Minority Rights in India: Issues, Challenges and Way Forward’ on
8th December 2023. Honourable Guruvayoor MLA Sri N K Akbar inaugurated the seminar. Dr Lirar Pulikalakath and Ramanath Raghunandan handled the sessions.
A one-day state-level seminar 'Missionary Zest for Modernity: A Reflection on Arnose Padiri' was organised on 04/11/2023. The resource person for the session was Dr Alias Kutty Poulose, Assistant Professor, Department of History, C A S College, Madayi.
A manuscript titled 'Historia' prepared by the students of the Department of History was released on 01/11/2023 as a part of the observation of Keralapiravi.
As a part of the observation of World Tourism Day, a Travelogue Writing Contest on the theme 'My Travel Story' was organised from 27th September to 3rd October, 2023.
The inauguration of the History Association and a Workshop on Research Methodology was organised on 17-08-2023. The speaker for the day was Dr Rajesh K P, Assistant Professor, Department of History, NSS College, Manjeri.
In connection with Independence Day, a quiz competition jointly organised by the Department of History and Political Science on national movement was organised on 16-08-2023.
As a part of the observation of Hiroshima-Nagasaki Day, a poster-making competition was organised on 08-08-2023. The for the competition was 'No War'.
An induction programme for first-year students was conducted on 04/08/2023. It was organised to introduce the department and its activities to the newly joined students.
As a part of the observation of Reading Day, a debate was organised on 19/06/2023. The theme for the debate was "Are Books Still Relevant in the Age of Google?".
In connection with Environment Day, the staff and students of the Department of History planted saplings on the college campus on 6th June 2023.
As a part of the observance of Women’s Day, an
essay writing competition was conducted on 8th March 2023 on the
topic “Role of Women in Building Our Nation”.
A quiz competition on the life of Mahatma Gandhi was
also conducted in connection with Martyr’s Day on 30th January 2023. The quiz was led by Derry Paul T M, Assistant Professor, Department of
Political Science.
On 30th January, 2023, as a part of the
observation of Martyr’s Day, the Department of History and Political Science
jointly conducted floral offering in the statue of Gandhi.
As a part of the observation of Republic Day, an
awareness talk was conducted on 27th January, 2023. The talk was led
by Anamika.C and Amina Abdul Kareem, NCC cadets from II B A History.
A one-day national seminar on constitutionalism and
human rights in India: exploring new vistas was conducted by the Department of
History and political science and IQAC, Little Flower College Guruvayur, and the
Forum for Democracy and Social Justice in association with the Institute of
parliamentary affairs, Government of Kerala. The seminar was held on 22nd
December 2022.
In connection with Keralapiravi, the students of the Department of History prepared a manuscript titled 'Historia'. The manuscript contains articles written by our students about Kerala history and culture. The manuscript was released by Remya Haridas M P on 1st November 2022.
The inauguration of History Association for the academic year 2022-23 was conducted on 27th October,2022. The association was inaugurated by Dr T Mohammed Ali, Associate Professor & HOD, Department of History, Farook College, Kozhikode. Dr T Mohammed Ali also delivered a talk on the importance and relevance of our discipline, history in present day.
Tourism Club under the Department of History organized a painting competition in connection with the World Tourism Day celebration on 27th September, 2022.
A workshop on Research Methodology was organized on 22 August 2022 in collaboration with IQAC and Department of History, St. Mary's College Thrissur. Dr. John S P, Assistant Professor, Department of History, University College, Trivandrum served as the resource person.
An inter-departmental quiz competition was organized on 12th August 2022 in connection with Independence Day.
A Slogan Writing Competition was organized on the theme "Peace Action" as a part of the observation of Hiroshima Nagasaki Day from 6th to 10th August 2022.

In connection with the observation of Nature Conservation Day, a placard making competition on the theme "Save Earth" was conducted on 28-07-2022

In connection with Reading week celebrations, department of History conducted 'Reading Competition'.
As a part of the observance of Environment Day, a speech competition was organized on 06-06-2022. The theme for speech competition was "Only One Earth".
In connection with Martyr's Day, the faculty members of the Department of History remembered the martyrdom of Mahatma Gandhi by floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi statue on 31-01-2022.
On
26th November 2021, the Department of History observed the
Constitution Day. As a part of the observation, Shaheen R S student of 2nd
B A History read out the Preamble of the Constitution. Sr.Kripa Mariya,
Assistant Professor of the Department of Political Science delivered a message
on the importance of Constitution and its significance.
As a part of the observance of Keralapiravi, a manuscript "Historia' was released on 05th November, 2021. It contain articles written by our students on national movement of Kerala.
In connection with Amrithavarsham, an article writing competition was organized by the Department on the topic "Historic Engagement in Thrissur with Gandhi's Thought and Action".

Anniversary of Sree Narayana Guru, the Department of History organized an online
speech competition on 21st September 2021. The topic of the speech
was “Enrichment of our nation through Sree Narayana Guru’s teaching”.
As a part of the observance of Gandhi Jayanthi,
an essay writing contest was organized by the Department of History from 2nd
to 5th October 2021. The
theme for the competition was the “Principles and Philosophies of Gandhi”. The
programme aimed to create awareness among the students about the principles and
philosophies of Gandhi.
A travelogue writing contest was organized by
the Tourism Club of the Department of History as a part of World Tourism Day from
26th to 30th September, 2021. The theme for the contest
was ‘My Travel Story’.
In connection with Independence Day, an Intercollegiate Elecution Competition was organised o the topic, "Vision For The Future" from 12th to 16th August.
In connection with Quit India Movement Day, an online quiz competition was conducted on 9th August 2021 on the topic National Movement 1915-1947.
In connection with the remembrance of Hiroshima Nagasaki Day, an essay writing competition was organised by the Department of History on the topic "Will Peace Prevail Due To Increase in Stock of Nuclear Bomb" from 6th August to 20th August.
A National Webinar on "Revolution At The Doorstep: Women And The Struggle For Rights" was jointly organized by the Department of History and Women Cell on09-03-2021. The webinar was organized in connection with the observance of International Women's day. Dr.Malavika Binny, Asst.Prof, School of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, SRM University, Andra Pradesh was the resource person for the webinar.
A Collage Making Competition in connection with International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was organized by the department of History from 26th June to 28th June 2021. The theme of collage is "Share Facts on Drugs, Save Lives".
In connection with Reading Day, an online speech competition was conducted by the Department of History on 19-06-2021.

As a part of observance of Reading Day, the Department of History conducted a book review writing contest "The Book That Inspired Me A Lot Forever" from 19-0062021 to 30-06-2021.
In connection with "World Environment Day', the Department of History organized a Poster Making Competition on 05-06-2021 on the theme "Ecosystem Restoration". It aimed to create an awareness among students about the need of ecological restoration.
In connection with Independence day, Department of History organized online Quiz competition on "Indian National Movement" on 26th January 2021. Students were actively participated in this competition.

In connection with International Day against Drug abuse and
illicit trafficking, Department of History has organized ‘Placard Making
Competition’ on 26th and 27th June 2020. This initiative
is to make awareness about the impact of Drug abuse and illicit trafficking and
bring out students to express
of their determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal
of an international society free of drug abuse.
In connection with Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, a poster making competition was conducted on " Ek Bharat: Shrestha Bharath.
In connection with Human right day, the Department of
History and Political Science jointly organized a webinar on “Right to
Information Act-2005” on 11th December 2020. Jithin Pau
Varghese, advocate, High court of Kerala was the resource person of this
webinar. He had talked about the different dimensions of ‘Right to Information
Act-2005’ and implications in contemporary society. 160 students have attended this webinar.

Civil Services titled ‘Let us know about Civil Services ‘on 26th
September 2020. This programme aims to educate students about various aspects
of cracking the civil service examination. Ms.Anju K.S IAS, sub-collector of

Department in association with IQAC organizes Five Day Faculty Enrichment Programme on "National Education Policy 2020" from 9th to 13th November 2020. Dr N.Gopakumaran Nair, Prof.V.Karthikeyan Nair, Dr Sebastian Joseph, Dr K.S.Madhavan, Dr Malavika Binny were the resource persons.
In connection with the observance of Constitution Day, a talk on "Constitutional Perspective of the Position of President of India" was organized on 26th November 2020. Arjun.M, Assistant Professor on Contract, Department of Political Science, Little Flower College, Guruvayoor was served as the resource person. He delivered an insightful talk on the powers of the President of India.
In connection with Human Rights Day, the Department of History and Political Science jointly organized a debate on "Myth and Reality in Implementation of Right to Education" on 10-12-2020. Students actively participated in the debate and discussed the various aspects of the Right to Education.
In connection with Onam, an Intercollegiate Onam Photography Competiton 2K20 was organized from 31st August - 5th September 2020.
In connection with the death anniversary of Mahatma Ayyankali, an online quiz competition was conducted on the topic, "Ayyankali and His Life".
In order to appreciate the artistic skills of students, a competition titled 'Lockdown Wonders' was conducted, in which students presented the artworks created by them during the lockdown period.
An online collage making competition was conducted on the topic "A Tribute to the Covid Fighters" from 12th May to 31st may.
A PPT competition was conducted on the topic "Guidelines to prevent Covid-19 and present-day situations" from 18-04-2020 to 25-04-2020.
An Extempore Speech Competition was conducted on the topic "How we can prevent Covid-19 and what are the precautions we can do?" on 18-04-2020.
In connection with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Ayyankali, a PPT competition was organized on "Values and Philosophy of Mahatma Ayyankali".
In connection with Independence Day, a Short Film Contest 2k20 was conducted.
In connection with World Population Day, a national level essay writing competition was organized on the theme "Pandemic and Women: Measures to Safeguard the Health and Rights of Women".

A Webinar on "Transformational Mindset: Innovating Minds For Success in the Digital World" was organized by the Department of History on 4th July 2020. Dr. Ajmal Mueen.M.A, Assistant Professor & IQAC Coordinator, Department of History, MAMO College, Mukkam, was served as resource person.
On 6th November 2019, Research Club of the department established a'Chair for Annie Mascarene'. It was inaugurated by George Alex, Rtd Professor, St.Thomas College, Thrissur.
In connection with International Women's Day an essay writing competition on the topic 'Women empowerment and Community Development' was conducted on 04-03-2020.
