WELCOME TO DEPARTMENT OF B.VOC TOURISM 

In order to complete with the changing vogue of academic culture Little Flower College , Guruvayoor introduced B.Voc in 2015.The course was formally inaugurated in the college on 1 Oct  2015 and consist of two various streams; Tourism and Hospitality Management .The course caters the prospective academic interests of younger generations with due emphasis on traditional values.

Each stream offers 50 seats for students with excellent infrastructure and exemplary academic standards. As student are receiving industry exposure they could easily enter into concerned job sectored .Reaching out various destinations invariable enriches the peoples with cultural exchanges, Global outlooks, and paves way for social change of posterity.

The Department has always been keen in imparting quality education; and in order to ensure the skill enchantment the courses are designed with NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) and sporadically conduct various training programs and skill development programs and thereby to bring out the best in the peoples.

Tourism and pharmaceuticals, are being the Biggest and ever growing industries in the world unravels a Plethora of opportunities in the individual vocational sector as well as in Business undertakings.

SCOPE OF THE TRAVEL AND TOURISM INDUSTRY

The Travel and Tourism industry is a one such industry that even though it is relatively new than the others but is growing and is also expected to do well in the coming years as well. There are many concerns and industries that are direct contributors of the industry and hence in the long run create greater job opportunities to those who would want to be a part of the industry. Hotels, restaurants, retailing, transportation, travel agencies, tour companies, tourist attractions, leisure, recreation and sport, and cultural industries are some of the contributors to the industry.

Also, as per popular researches and studies, the tourism sector has created about 11 million jobs and has the potential to create another 37 million jobs in the future. Although the future of the industry is quite bright but still there is a lot of development in terms of infrastructure and skilled personnel.
