‘Protection of Ozone layer’ and ‘Save ozone umbrella’ respectively.The number
of participants were 29 Chemistry students.The winners are Helma Albert and
Namitha Gopan for the PPT competition

motivated to protect our ‘Mother Earth’

UMBRELLA MAKING AND ECO FRIENDLY BAG MAKING IN SUB JAIL, CHAVAKKAD – 25/09/2019
Dept of Chemistry made a step as a part
of their extention activities, to give training for umbrella making and banian
bag making to the jail inmates. For this purpose we already gave training to
our students on 20/9/2019 and 23/09/2019. Twelve students and 4 teachers volunteered
for giving training to the inmates.This activity inculcate social commitment in
our students and help the prisoners to practice some handcrafts which will be
beneficial for their future work.
TRAINING TO HARITHA KARMA SENA MEMBERS-03/10/2019
As a part of Suchithua Mission, selected fifteen students of chemistry department along with staff members went to Chavakkad Muncipality to give training for making paper cover and baniyan bag for the members of Haritha Karma Sena of Chavakkad Municipality on 03/10/2019. This training, the reuse of waste materials for making beneficial articles in day to day ife, made them happy. Our students consider this as an opportunity to make useful their leisure time and not to waste the used papers and cloth

Bashpa P, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Chemistry ,
N.S.S. College, Manjeri, Malappuram on 6-11-2019. On the same day she
delivered a talk on the topic
“Polymorphism in Drugs”. The deep knowledge about the role of chemistry in the
medicinal field especially in the drug designing made the students more
enthusiastic to launch deep into the subject. As Smt. Bashpa P is our former
student, her presence and presentation imbibe an appraisal in the hearts our
students about their college, department and teachers.

Dr.Lali Thomas Kotturan ,HOD, Chemistry Dept. gave an orientation class on ‘ Discussion on Regulations for Curriculum of CBCSS-UG 2019 Dt.30/10/19’ for faculty members at Little Flower College, Guruvayoor. Her long experience in the teaching field and deep knowledge inculcate a vast understanding about the revised rules and regulations implemented by Calicut University in our faculty members. This help our college as a whole to prepare and execute an excellent plan which will be highly effective for the upliftment of our college family and society.

PAKHWADA 2020-22/01/2020
In connection with Swatchada Pakhwada 2020 the Department of Chemistry on the topic ‘Water conservation’. To make aware and force to think of the importance of water conservation especially in this drought situation in our students, department conducted slogan writing and poster making competitions in this topic. About 75 students of our college participated in this competition. Department congratulated the winners.

Quiz
