Club organized a interdepartment Book Exhibition Competition named AKSHARASAGARAM on 19th June 2019. Students of 14
Departments participated in the same . Dept of Physics Who collected maximum number of books in different
languages bagged first prize.
SAMSKRITHI
Club Organized Greeting Card Expo – “Thasmai Sree Gurave Namah -2019. Our
students made 300 Greeting cards in connection with Teachers Day Celebration .
Greeting Cards were exhibited in front of Department. On 5th
September All the teachers were honoured with this Greeting Cards in common
Assembly.
International
Yoga Day was observed with various programmes. Chief Guest Dr sony from Raja
hospital addressed the Gathering .The College
Principal Rev. Sr. Dr. Philo Jees
presided over the function. Dr. Justin P G briefed the History of Yoga Philosophy.
Students performed different pranayamas and asanas.
We
arranged a Mega Expo on 31st August 2019 in the college auditorium. It was an
occasion to exhibit our growth of our half decade. We presented all the Social
and Academic achievements of last 5 years. Our Social and academic extension
activities were presented there. Dept. of Indian Languages bagged Second Prize
in that
We theDepartments of Hostory , Political Science,
and Sanskrit conducted Gandhi Quiz on 11th Dec 2019.It was conducted
in connection with 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. 27 students participated in this competition.
Students participate in the competition(
PRATHIBHA)term wise by putting their creative Sanskrit articles in the
Sanskrit notice board. This gives a meaningful space for the students to fulfill their creative
talents. Articles include literary pieces, paintings, Creative writings ,
Collages etc.
NATYADHARMI-
KOODIYATTA MAHOTSAVAM 2017
organized by SangeethaNatakaAkadamy and SNA KutiyattamKendram Trivandrum on
20th December 2017.Students were taken to Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi to
participate Koodiyatta mahotsavam –A Day with Traditional Performing Arts.
Students were introduced Performing Arts
like Koodiyattam and Nangiarkuthu etc. Since there are Performing arts in the
curriculum the Lecture demonstrations of these traditional art forms was very
much useful for the students.

KOODIYATTA MAHOTSAVAM 2017 organized by Sangeetha Nataka Akadamy and
SNA Kutiyattam Kendram Trivandrum on 20th December 2017 At Kerala Sangeeta
Nataka Akademi Trichur. Our students along with faculty participated in the
same. Students experienced the real spirit of Traditional performing arts of
Kerala .
2016 AUGUST 25-SANSKRIT DAY
was celebrated with various programmes .Sanskrit Professor Dr. Francis Arakkal
,professor, Dept. of Vedantha Sree
Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit,
Kalady, inaugurated the function. the principal Rev. Dr. Sr. Treesa
Dominic presided over the function. A chart display on Science in Sanskrit was arranged in the
auditorium . 15 artists from Konark Natyamandapam performed Gotipua , the traditional art form
of Orissa.
In connection with Sanskrit Day Celebration Dept. Sanskrit started a new club named SAMSKRUTHI. This club is a platform for SANSKRIT learning students to bring out their creative and literary talents. Samskruthi club was inaugurated by the College Principal

As
a part of supporting the various activities of the Government of Kerala, the Dept.
of Indian Languages has started a
service project titled 'Sreshta Baalyam Haritha Balyam' (Great childhood green
childhood project). On July 5th 2019, Malayalam faculty members and
Sanskrit faculty Dr. JustinP G with
students visited the Thamarayoor
Anganwadi and spent one day with them.
The pictures were made on charts and hung on the walls of the Anganwadi to
facilitate their learning. Ecofriendly toys were made with paper and given to
children. We decided to adopt the Anganwadi
as part of its service activities and then to take action. Following
this, on September 26, 2019, a vegetable garden was set up at the
Anganwadi and gave an awareness class
for parents of children. The event was lead by Dr. Justin P G, Dr.Annam Sini
Dr. Sobhitha Joy, Smt. Sibi, Smt. Adhima, Smt. Vijita and the PG and UG
students of Malayalam Department participated in the programme.
