Overview
    Established in the year 2001, the Department of Computer Science is committed to provide quality education to aspiring graduates. The department has an annual intake of 36 students for BSc Computer Science course. The department is endowed with a group of  well experienced and dedicated faculty members who aim to impart sound knowledge and awareness in the latest trends of Computer Science and Applications. The department encourages student’s involvement in various co-curricular activities along with their academics.  The Computer Science Association STACS, takes initiative for the conduct of various inter/intra collegiate competitions to improve the skills of the students. The students are also provided  with the finest  of opportunities to participate in various technical fests and recruitment drives.
    The department has a well equipped and advanced operational Computer laboratory to provide the students with the necessary and sufficient backing of practical knowledge, inorder to encourage them to manifest their innovative ideas. The laboratory provides 39 licensed OS machines with facilities in the area of Internet Technology, Advanced Software Programming, Microprocessor Programming and Open Source Technologies.
    The department has consistently achieved excellent results in the university examinations and has a track record in securing University Ranks. Experts from the Technical area are periodically invited to give lectures/demonstrations to the students on the latest developments in the field. As part of the faculty empowerment, the faculty members are encouraged to attend seminars and workshops in assorted areas.
The Course was regularized in the year 2010.
