CONNECTIONS-
Linking Man to Nature
The staff and students of the Department of Zoology have organized the club ‘Connections’ for the conservation and protection of nature and the biodiversity. The formal inauguration of the club was done on 14-11-14 by Mr. Jain J Therattil, Coordinator of WWF India, Thrissur & Assistant Professor, Dept. of Zoology, St. Aloysius College, Elthuruth.
All students of the present batches of B.Sc. Zoology & M.Sc. Zoology and the entire faculty are members of the CONNECTIONS.
Activities
Identification of butterflies visiting the butterfly garden and the campus
Debates, poster making competitions, collage making competitions, PPT competitions, etc., are organized for students on environmentally significant days
Biodiversity conservation awareness classes by external resource persons
Nature camps
Awareness talks by the faculty of the departments
